Riemann solver; source term; entropy solution
The authors study a front tracking method for scalar balance equations. The source term is build into the Riemann solver explicitly. Thus no operator splitting is used. Using the singular mapping technique the convergence to the unique Kruzhkov's entropy solution is shown also for the resonance case. Numerical experiments demonstrate that the method treats stiff source terms as well as steady states.
