Andalò di Negro’s De compositione astrolabii: a critical edition with English translation and notes. (English, Latin) Zbl 1428.01009

This is a critical edition of the Latin text of Andalò di Negro’s De compositione astrolabii, together with its English translation and commentary. It uses eight manuscripts to provide the most complete text ever published. Among other things, its interest lies in being “one of the rare Latin texts presenting the principles of the stereographic projection which underlie the construction of the astrolabe.”
