Kupferman, Raz A numerical study of the axisymmetric Couette–Taylor problem using a fast high-resolution second-order central scheme. (English) Zbl 0922.76256 SIAM J. Sci. Comput. 20, No. 3, 858-877 (1999). The author presents a numerical study of the axisymmetric Couette-Taylor problem using a staggered version of a second-order control differencing method combined with the discrete Hodge projection. The results show that the proposed scheme makes possible the computation of flow problems with significantly less effort than upwind schemes.
