The CAGE-Galerkin method for solving the 2-point boundary value problem. (English) Zbl 0759.65049

The author employs the Galerkin finite element method to a two-point boundary value problem of a second order differential equation. The resulting matrix system is solved by the coupled alternating group explicit (CAGE) method.
