Negotiated price discounting of perishable inventories. (English) Zbl 0744.90022

Summary: A model is presented for jointly optimizing the replenishment interval and retailer/s and consumer’s discounted prices for a perishable good, such that both a wholesaler and retailer benefit from increased profits. An instrument of negotiation for distribution of system gains is incorporated into the model.
