Nonlinear transient heat transfer analysis based on Lanczos coordinates using pseudo-force method. (English) Zbl 0948.65097

A reduced finite element formulation for a mildly nonlinear transient heat transfer equation is developed using the Lanczos algorithm. The proposed method is only effective in the solution of systems with mild nonlinearities and a large number of time integration steps.
