Martynenko, M. D.; Ngo Khyong N’yu; Moroz, S. V. On some thermoelastic nonlinear inverse problem on the theory of shells of revolution. (Russian. English summary) Zbl 0623.73016 Dokl. Akad. Nauk BSSR 30, 879-882 (1986). The paper considers a shell of revolution made of physically nonlinear material and placed in the temperature field. An approximate expression for the shell thickness is obtained within the geometrical linear theory of shells by the method of small parameters provided that external loadings and temperatures field do not induce bending stresses.
