Szefer, G.; Mróz, Z.; Demkowicz, L. Variational approach to sensitivity analysis in nonlinear elasticity. (English) Zbl 0632.73014 Arch. Mech. 39, No. 3, 247-259 (1987). For a nonlinear elastic body, the first variation of an arbitrary stress or displacement functional, corresponding to the variation of material parameters within the body, is derived using the solutions for primary and adjoint systems. The general formulation is next applied to the sensitivity analysis of nonlinear plates. The perturbation of a buckling load for a plate is considered within the present formulation.
