Gijbels, Irène; Wang, Jane-Ling Strong representations of the survival function estimator for truncated and censored data with applications. (English) Zbl 0809.62027 J. Multivariate Anal. 47, No. 2, 210-229 (1993). The product-limit estimator for the survival function based on left truncated and right censored samples is constructed and some of its properties (consistency, law of the iterated logarithm, etc.) are studied. The authors consider some applications of this estimate for constructing estimates of unknown density functions and hazard functions.
