Time - frequency structure of spike wave discharges of genetic absence epilepsy. (Russian) Zbl 1049.92024

Wavelet transform methods are applied to the investigation of the structure of spike wave discharges in non-convulsive epilepsy of rats. The continuous wavelet transform \(W\) of the function \(f\) is given by \[ Wf(a, b) = \int f(x)\psi((x - b)/a)dx, \] where \(a, b\) are coefficients of compression and shift. The Morlet wavelet \( \Psi(x) = e^{-x^2/2}\cos(5x)\) is taken as a mother function.
