Sur la résolution numérique d’une équation intégro- différentielle singulière non linéaire de la chimie des surfaces. (French) Zbl 0582.65097

The author studies the numerical solution of a nonlinear singular integro-differential equation arising in the corrosion modelling of metals. On using an elliptic regularization one proves an existence and uniqueness result and the convergence of fixed point iterations. The numerical method, proposed by the author, seems to be very efficient as we can see from the numerical comments appended.
