Bock, Igor; Kodnár, Rudolf; Lovíšek, Ján An obstacle problem for a cylindrical shell. (English) Zbl 0565.73055 Acta Math. Univ. Comenianae 44-45, 265-273 (1984). The authors study the problem of a clamped cylindrical shell (circular, with variable thickness in nondeformed state). The bending of the shell is limited by a stiff obstacle. The uniqueness and existence results are proved as well as the applicability of the numerical method. (The problem is approximated by means of Argyris triangular elements.) Reviewer: O.
