Ebeling, W.; Herzel, H.; Schimansky-Geier, L. Stochastic and chaotic processes in biochemical systems. (English) Zbl 0665.92007 From chemical to biological organization, Springer Ser. Synergetics, 166-176 (1988). [For the entire collection see Zbl 0659.00017.] We discuss some peculiarities of complex motions in biochemical systems. Especially we want to study the effect of nonuniformity of the dynamics which is a typical property of biochemical systems on the development of chaos. Furthermore, the effect of noise on the system will be studied. Special attention will be devoted to Sel’kov-type models which describe regulation mechanisms of biochemical systems.
