We discuss some peculiarities of complex motions in biochemical systems. Especially we want to study the effect of nonuniformity of the dynamics which is a typical property of biochemical systems on the development of chaos. Furthermore, the effect of noise on the system will be studied. Special attention will be devoted to Sel’kov-type models which describe regulation mechanisms of biochemical systems.
