Rybakov, Vladimir Unifiers in transitive modal logics for formulas with coefficients (meta-variables). (English) Zbl 1278.03050 Log. J. IGPL 21, No. 2, 205-215 (2013). The paper is devoted to a study of the best unifiers for formulas with meta-variables (a.k.a. coefficients, parameters) in transitive modal logics. For transitive modal logics satisfying some special conditions, the author exemplifies an algorithm that, given a unifiable formula with meta-variables, constructs a finite set of most general unifiers. Particularly, the algorithm can be used for the logics K4, K4.1, K4.2, K4.3, S4, S4.1, S4.2, S4.3, Grz, Grz.2, Grz.3 and GL which, as is proved in the paper, have finitary unification type for formulas with meta-variables.
