Chandrasekhar, P.; Natrajan, R. Reliability analysis of a complex one unit system. (English) Zbl 0913.90117 Opsearch 33, No. 3, 167-173 (1996). Summary: Assuming that the lifetime density and repair rate of a system are a mixed Erlang distribution and a constant one, respectively, several measures of system performance are obtained by identifying the underlying stochastic process describing the behaviour of the system as an alternating renewal process. Also, the expected total sojourn times during \((0,t)\) and a 100% confidence interval for the steady state availability of the system are obtained.
