Asari, Shukooh Sadat; Amirfakhrian, Majid The application of fuzzy systems to approximate the solutions of a nonlinear system of equations. (English) Zbl 1365.65146 Bull. Georgian Natl. Acad. Sci. (N.S.) 10, No. 3, 33-44 (2016). A method of using fuzzy IF-THEN rules combined with a Newton-like iterative method is proposed to solve nonlinear algebraic systems of the form \(F(x)=0\). The involved fuzzy system uses a singleton fuzzifier and center average defuzzifier, and the fuzzy IF-THEN rule is based on a product inference engine of Lasens max-product type, with fuzzy set inputs written in pseudo-trapezoid form. The accuracy of the method is illustrated on three numerical experiments implemented in Matlab.
