Jedryka, Tadeusz Marian; Wegner, Walter Well posed solution of Schwarzschild integral equation and its application in statistical astronomy. (English) Zbl 0612.45007 Zesz. Nauk. Wyższ. Szk. Pedagog. Bydgoszczy, Probl. Mat. 7, 77-91 (1986). It is proved the well-posedness in the Laurent Schwartz sense of an operator equation \(Ax=y\) where \(x\in X\) and \(y\in Y\) and where X,Y are Banach spaces. Applications are given to the determination of the star density through the investigation of the Schwarzschild equation in the convolution form.
