Shejbak, Tadeush Solution of boundary value problems in the case of large discontinuities of coefficients. (Russian. English summary) Zbl 0562.65084 Differ. Uravn. Primen. 35, 93-106 (1984). Summary: The reduction of boundary value problems for elliptic equations with large discontinuity of coefficients to the solution of boundary value or initial problems in subspaces, where the coefficients are not discontinuous are considered. Methods of approximating the solutions in subspaces are described. Some numerical results are presented.
