Difference schemes for the solution of systems of hyperbolic type equations written in nondivergent form are suggested and studied. The investigation of difference algorithms is carried out in terms of the problems of one-dimensional gas dynamics. Estimations describing the exactness of the difference methods and iterative processes for their realization are obtained.
