Summary: This paper presents a 3D graphics rendering algorithm for photo realistic ray tracing operating over a network of personal computers. The implementation incorporates new partitioning methodologies for both memory and workload to achieve efficient execution on a distributed computer network. Experimental results that compare algorithm efficiency in dual processor machines and TCP/IP networks comprised normal single-processor PCs are introduced and discussed.
