Hagstrom, Thomas; Keller, H. B. The numerical calculation of traveling wave solutions of nonlinear parabolic equations. (English) Zbl 0613.65098 SIAM J. Sci. Stat. Comput. 7, 978-988 (1986). A numerical method for computing traveling wave solutions of Cauchy problems for nonlinear parabolic equations posed on infinite domain is developed. The domain is replaced by a finite one and boundary conditions are constructed. An application to Fisher’s equation and the numerical results are given.
