The computation and application of the generalized inverse via Maple. (English) Zbl 0894.68088
Summary: In N. P. Karampetakis [Linear Algebr. Appl. 252, 35-60 (1997; Zbl 0869.65028)] an algorithm for computing the generalized inverse of a singular polynomial matrix $$A(s)\in \mathbb{R}[s]^{n\times m}$$ has been presented. In this paper, the algorithm is extended to that of the singular rational matrix, $$A(s)\in\mathbb{R}(s)^{n\times m}$$, and the algorithm is subsequently implemented in the symbolic computational package Maple. Several applications of its use are given.
