On brown dwarfs in presence of magnetic field. (English) Zbl 1031.85002
Author’s introduction: D. Adam [Astron. Astrophys. 160, 95-106 (1986; Zbl 0592.76191)] used the relationship between the mean strength of the magnetic field and the mass-density for the stars of uniform density and magnetic field as a good approximation in low-mass magnetic white dwarfs. As this approximation also holds good for magnetic brown dwarfs the same technique is employed in the present paper to derive the mass-radius relationship in presence of magnetic field for the brown dwarf models.
