Van Goethem, Nicolas The non-Riemannian dislocated crystal: a tribute to Ekkehart Kröner (1919–2000). (English) Zbl 1281.74029 J. Geom. Mech. 2, No. 3, 303-320 (2010). Summary: This expository paper is a tribute to Ekkehart Kröner’s results on the intrinsic non-Riemannian geometrical nature of a single crystal filled with point and/or line defects. A new perspective on this old theory is proposed, intended to contribute to the debate around the still open Kröner’s question: “what are the dynamical variables of our theory?” Cited in 11 Documents MSC: 74N05 Crystals in solids 74A05 Kinematics of deformation 74B05 Classical linear elasticity 74C05 Small-strain, rate-independent theories of plasticity (including rigid-plastic and elasto-plastic materials) 01A70 Biographies, obituaries, personalia, bibliographies Keywords:single crystals; linear elasticity; dislocations; disclinations; strain incompatibility; non-Riemannian geometry Biographic References: Kröner, Ekkehart PDFBibTeX XMLCite \textit{N.
