Summary: This paper focuses on the robust stability criteria of uncertain T-S fuzzy systems with time-varying delay by an improved delay-partitioning approach. An appropriate augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) is established by partitioning the delay in all integral terms. Since the relationship between each subinterval and time-varying delay has been taken a full consideration, and some tighter bounding inequalities are employed to deal with (time-varying) delay-dependent integral items of the derivative of LKF, less conservative delay-dependent stability criteria can be expected in terms of esand LMIs. Finally, two numerical examples are provided to show that the proposed conditions are less conservative than existing ones.
