First, the authors explain a method by which one can establish in a uniform way results over complete intersection local rings by deducing them results on differential graded modules over a graded exterior algebra. Then, the use of numerical invariants of objects in derived categories introduced in join paper with R.-O. Buchweitz and C. Miller [Adv. Math. 223, No. 5, 1731–1781 (2010); corrigendum ibid. 225, No. 6, 3576–3578 (2010; Zbl 1186.13006)] is demonstrated.
