Summary: We present a \(\gamma\)-model BGK scheme for the numerical simulation of compressible multifluids. The scheme is based on the incorporation of a conservative \(\gamma\)-model scheme given in [R. Abgrall, J. Comput. Phys. 125, No.1, 150–160 (1996; Zbl 0847.76060)] into the gas kinetic BGK scheme [K. H. Prendergast and K. Xu, J. Comput. Phys. 109, No. 1, 53–66 (1993; Zbl 0791.76059), J. Comput. Phys. 114, No. 1, 9–17 (1994; Zbl 0810.76059)], and is simple to implement. Several numerical examples presented in this paper validate the scheme in the application of compressible multimaterial flows.
