Spherical and planar three-dimensional anti-de Sitter black holes. (English) Zbl 1055.83025
The authors use a particular case of the 3D dilaton action to build several classes of black hole solutions. They start fom 3D dilaton gravity action, obtained through the dimensional reduction from 4D Einstein gravity, and work entirely in three dimensions. The chosen 3D action presents Maxwell field, dilaton field and an extra scalar field, besides the gravitational field and negative cosmological constant. The new obtained 3D static black holes may have the horizons with spherical or planar topology.
The authors show that there is a 3D static spherically symmetric solution analogous to the 4D Reissner-Nordström-AdS black hole, and obtain other new 3D black holes with planar topology. From the static spherical solutions, new rotating 3D black holes are also obtained and analysed in some detail.
