The Landau equation in a periodic box. (English) Zbl 1042.76053
Summary: The Landau equation is a fundamental equation to describe collisions among charged particles interacting with Coulombic force. In this article, global in time classical solutions near Maxwellians are constructed for Landau equation in a periodic box. Our result also covers a class of generalized Landau equations which describes grazing collisions in a dilute gas.
