Reaction-diffusion in fast steady flow. (Réaction diffusion en écoulement stationnaire rapide.) (French. Abridged English version) Zbl 0992.76097
Summary: We study the speed of propagation of chemical reaction in fast steady nonuniform flow which may apply to flame propagation in some instances. The structures of flow considered are (1) a parallel shear flow with velocity perpendicular to the average front where the flame speed is close to maximum flow speed toward the fresh gas; (2) a periodic cellular structure where the speed of propagation of reactions grows like the fourth root of fluid speed.
