A novel numerical scheme for reactive flows at low Mach numbers. (English) Zbl 0974.76064
Summary: For simulation of low Mach number reactive flows with significant density changes a we propose numerical scheme which contains modified lattice BGK model in combination with conventional convective-diffusion solvers for equations for temperature and species. Together with boundary-fitting formulation and local second-order grid refinement (embedded grids), the scheme enables accurate consideration of low Mach number combustion in complex geometry in a wide range of Reynolds and Damköhler numbers on simple Cartesian grids.
