Hydrodynamical models of gaseous stars. (English) Zbl 0949.76071
The compressible Navier-Stokes-Poisson equations describing the free boundary self-gravitating perfect-fluid star model, with viscosity, radiation, first-order kinetics of thermonuclear processes, and with constant external pressure, are revisited in detail. The author also reviews the problems of local (in time) and global existence, uniqueness and stability of solutions of some simplified models. In particular, the author analyzes isothermal and isoentropic models with spherical symmetry, with and without hard core in the center, and with and without viscosity and/or radiation.
