From the text: Although the question of whether weak cosmic censorship holds remains very far from being settled, there appears to be growing evidence in support of its validity. This evidence consists primarily of the stability of black holes the proof of the failure of certain classes of counter-examples, and the proof of a cosmic censorship theorem for the spherically symmetric Einstein-Klein-Gordon system.
