Numerical solutions for heat transfer in a micropolar fluid over a stretching sheet. (English) Zbl 0941.76005
Using the theory of micropolar fluids due to A. C. Eringen [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 38, 480-496 (1972; Zbl 0241.76012)], the authors derive set of boundary layer equations for the flow past a stretching sheet. Numerical results are tabulated for near-wall velocity, angular velocity, and thermal functions. This information would be of considerable interest to evaluate the friction factor and the heat transfer rate.
