Binary bent sequences of order 64. (English) Zbl 0926.94019
C. M. Adams and S. E. Tarvares [IEEE Trans. Inform. Theory 36, 1170-1173 (1990; Zbl 0767.94004)] proved that there are 37,879,808 bent-based, and 10,321,920 linear-based binary bent sequences of order 64, and conjectured that for any order, every bent sequence is either bent-based or linear-based. This paper shows that the number of binary bent sequences of order 64 is 5,425,430,528, thereby disproving the conjecture of Adams and Tarvares.
