Chabaud, Florent On the security of some cryptosystems based on error-correcting codes. (English) Zbl 0881.94018 De Santis, Alfredo (ed.), Advances in cryptology - EUROCRYPT ’94. Workshop on the theory and application of cryptographic techniques, Perugia, Italy, May 9-12, 1994. Proceedings. Berlin: Springer-Verlag. Lect. Notes Comput. Sci. 950, 131-139 (1995). Summary: A certain number of public-key cryptosystems based on error-correcting codes have been proposed as an alternative to algorithms based on number theory. The author analyses algorithms that can be used to attack such cryptosystems in a very precise way, and optimizes them. Thus, he obtains some more efficient attacks than those previously known. Even if they remain unfeasible, they indicate the cryptosystems parameters forbidden by the existence of these algorithms. For the entire collection see [Zbl 0847.00061].
