Space-like tubes of zero mean curvature in Minkowski space. (English) Zbl 0869.53037

This is a survey paper on recent results obtained by the author and some other Russian mathematicians on the theory of tubes of zero mean curvature in a Minkowski space. In particular, there are presented results on the following problems: (i) The external geometrical structure of tubes of zero mean curvature and bands. (ii) The existence and uniqueness problem for tubes and bands in a Lorentz space. (iii) The stability problems for tubes and bands.
