Bandelli, R. Unsteady unidirectional flows of second grade fluids in domains with heated boundaries. (English) Zbl 0837.76004 Int. J. Non-Linear Mech. 30, No. 3, 263-269 (1995). Summary: The thermal convection of a second grade fluid is studied within the context of unidirectional flows. Stokes’ first problem in finite and infinite domains as well as pulsating Poiseuille flow in a pipe are analyzed. Due to the special nature of the flow, both the balance of linear momentum and the energy equation can be solved exactly.
