Summary: The nonsingular traction BIE are derived for solution of both two- and three-dimensional crack problems in an infinite elastic body. Numerical tests have been performed for a straight crack in an infinite plane, in order to find the improvement of the accuracy due to the regularization of the BIE and to compare the accuracies reached by using different kinds of the boundary elements.
