Piecewise linear interface calculation. (Calcul d’interface affine par morceaux.) (French. Abridged English version) Zbl 0826.76065
Summary: A fluid volume numerical technique, which may be called piecewise linear interface calculation, is developed for tracking the motion of interfaces. This method reconstructs interface by a segment in each cell, and advects it by a Lagrangian method. After testing the method on simple examples, we have integrated it in the code Surfer to simulate the Rayleigh-Taylor instability.
