Math., Wuhan Univ. 40, No. 4, 473-480 (2020). Summary: In this paper, we study the problem of quasi geostrophic vortex equation with complete Coriolis force in mid and high latitude. By means of space-time scaling transformation, we obtain the conclusion of inhomogeneous mKdV-Burgers equation for describing the amplitude form of Rossby wave. The approximate solution shows that the weak topographic effect forces the amplitude of Rossby wave, which generalizes the results in literature.
