This book presents a succinct description of tensor analysis and its applications in continuum mechanics. It is meant to serve as a textbook for students and early learners of the subject. The book runs into six chapters. The first chapter introduces Vectors and Transformations. The topics covering Tensors and Tensor Fields are discussed in the second chapters. The third chapter comprises topics pertaining to Differential Geometry. The fourth chapter introduces and deals with a brief theory of Linear Elasticity. The theory of Linear Elastic Shells is included in Chapter 5. Finally, the sixth chapter discusses the Mechanics of General Media. The book presents the subject material in a concise and lucid manner to be easily grasped, especially by the students and the first-time readers of the subject. The book includes problems and exercises to facilitate the comprehension of the related theoretical concepts. The appendices included in the book are helpful and enhance its value. I enjoyed reading the book and I believe it satisfies the purpose of the authors in writing this useful book.
