Applications of fixed point theorems to the theory of games and mathematical economics. (Polish) Zbl 0693.90100
This is a survey paper on applications of fixed point theorems in the proof of the existence of equilibrium in n-person non-cooperative games and in mathematical economy (especially, in competitive equilibrium). The existence of the competitive equilibrium is reduced to the existence of a Nash equilibrium in some auxiliary game. The main role in the proofs (which are sketched only) plays the Kakutani fixed point theorem which is formulated for two-argument relations instead, as usual, for multifunctions.
