A large time increment method for elastoplastic problems. (English) Zbl 0692.73038
Summary: Within the scope of nonlinear structural analysis, we propose a new class of algorithms whose particularity is to treat the whole loading process in one single large increment of time. Numerical simulations are presented that show significant reduction in the number of transfers between the local and global levels and hence in the cost of the calculation.
