This is a sequel to the book: “Numerical Recipes: The Art of Scientific Computing” by the same authors (1986; Zbl 0587.65003). The only essential difference is that this is an edition in the C computer language. The authors assume that the reader can read computer programs in C and, in addition to the material from the basic book, they supply over 200 programs in this language. This is not a book to learn numerical mathematics from, but it is a useful manual for the practitioner.
