An approximate linearised Riemann solver for the three-dimensional Euler equations for real gases using operator splitting. (English) Zbl 0644.76088
An approximate (linearised) Riemann solver is presented for the solution of the Euler equations of gas dynamics in three dimensions with a general equation of state. The scheme incorporates operator splitting and is applied to the problem of Mach 3 flow past a forward facing step for some specimen equations of state.
