Theoretical and numerical structure for reacting shock waves. (English) Zbl 0633.76060
The wave field, defined by the compressible Navier-Stokes equations for a reacting ideal gas mixture is analysed. A fractional step scheme based on Godunov’s method for inviscid hydrodynamics, an explicit solution and a Crank-Nicholson or backward Euler method for diffusion, has been used for calculations. Complex behaviour of bifurcating wave pattern has been analysed and determined in theoretical and numerical planes.
