This paper investigates the effects of nonhomogeneity due to varying modulus of rigidity of a medium in form of a rotating annular disc. Results obtained have been compared graphically with the corresponding case of homogeneous medium with constant modulus of rigidity and may be useful for a large number of materials which have Poisson’s ratio nearly equal to 1/3.
