Kovanic, P. Gnostical theory of small samples of real data. (English) Zbl 0583.94008 Probl. Control Inf. Theory 13, 303-319 (1984). This paper is the continuation of a paper by the author [ibid. 13, 259- 274 (1984; Zbl 0575.94005)] and applies the corresponding results to the treatment of random data in order to diminish the uncertainty as much as possible. A second axiom is introduced, which is a composition rule via weighting coefficients for the uncertainty involved by each variable. Relation with statistics and information theory are exhibited and distribution and density functions of a data sample are defined.
