Obermeier, F. Aerodynamic sound generation caused by viscous processes. (English) Zbl 0576.76063 J. Sound Vib. 99, 111-120 (1985). A very interesting and clear account of how viscous effects influence the sound produced by unsteady flow. It seems that there isn’t any significant effect despite the recent publication of careful experimental results purporting to measure the sound produced by viscous terms. The author’s arguments are very convincing.
